Rogart is a tiny village in Sutherland, Highland, Scotland. The village was the house of Major Andrew MacDonald, who fought in the French and Indian War. It was initially a spread crofting village, until the opening of the Rogart train station at Pittentrail 1 1/2 miles (2.4 kilometres) to the southeast. A newer industrial town grew after the arrival of the railway in 1886, with the older town staying. The village of Golspie is 9 miles (14 km) eastern of Rogart.
